The new Buffy

 happy Sunday
Back to Full Blog

It's been a couple of days since I have posted, not much is up. I have off next Sunday, for now. This other girl was hired to work part time for the summer and she stated when she was hired that she wanted to only work four days and have off at least one weekend day. Well she has to work next Sunday for me and it pissed her off. I would like to have Sunday off so I can spend time with my family and maybe have some people over....maybe a cookout. If she throws a fit and bitches then I will be pissed and bitch back. I have had maybe 5 weekend days and one whole weekend off in a year and a half working here. Its not fair that others get one day every other weekend off or the such. I am sorry but they are no better than me and should work weekends if I do. Next week I have 4 long days in a row and do not look forward to them. Having Sunday off will make it worthwhile. (I hope I still have it off when alls said and done).

My daughter got glasses about a week ago. She is not taking great care of them, but she is learnng. Her eyesight was baddd...Her left eye was sooooo bad. She has little blue glasses. We wanted her to get used to them before school started.

The cats are doing fine. Joe comes when I call him...I am training him to be my cat. Mary Jane comes when hubby calls him. That is HIS cat. Our two black cats are very independant and come to nobody (Ace comes some but Pimpy comes to NOBODY, She is her own cat).

We have not gotten our stimulus check yet. If it is not here Monday I am going to track it down. Hubby worked last week..He got paid three checks...$60, $157, $120...not bad. He had Thursday off. We are doing good still. Not broke yet.

Have a good Sunday....my days off are Mon and Tues, so if I survive today the next tow will be fun.

I bet your daughter is cute in her little blue glasses. Caring for glasses is a learned behavior. You're wise to let her adjust to them before school starts...I didn't realize that cats would come when you call them. I don't know much about cats, as I"ve always been a dog person...Hope your work situation works out in a way you can both be happy with. Good luck!

It's always tough for kids to learn how to take care of glasses at first, but she'll get used to them! I know how you feel about the schedule thing at work...I've been there MANY times in the past and it's no fun watching everyone else get the great schedules while you get stuck working all the weekends!! Sorry about the stimulus check not coming yet--a lot of folks are saying that theirs are taking forever!!

My stimulus check took a long time to get here, a good couple of weeks at least. I received a letter about it a few weeks before its arrival. Taxpayers just don't get respect from the government.

Anyway, hope that you receive yours soon. Waiting is the pits.

I also love your cats' names. I have four cats --- Mimi, Maxie, Columbus and Waffles.

I started to wear glasses in grade 4. When I was 23 I switched to contacts. At 30 I went for the lasix surgery and loved it. I had to go twice because my eyes were so bad also. My one eye was 20-400. Meaning what someone could see clear at 400 ft it had to be 20 feet in front of me to see it without glasses. My other eye was 20/300. I have to get my eyes checked again because things are starting to not be as clear. I was told that I would probably need reading glasses at 40 as a normal part of aging. I can handle that. Your daughter will probably have some problems with the glasses at the start. Give her time and she will get use to them.
