First off let me admit and say I have been obsessive about my check..
when you live hand to mouth or penny to penny, you tend to get excited or a little crazy when you know a big check is comming. We have all our bills paid for the month, we are responsible, bills come first...and we have some cash set back in case our check does not arive today, so were good. I really want to get flea medication and carpet spray and poor hubby needs some new shoes. Yes we are excited about getting a new television, but it is more than that. I am very thankful that everyone is ok, and we have a roof over our head..I know if the check dosen't come untill Monday or later we will survive and it will not be the end of the world. For those who have put up with me through all of this, I thank you and just know this too shall pass.

Yesterday hubby had a good day at work, he brought home $140. I said, all bills are paid lets put $20 in the gas tank and blow some of the rest...we deserve it. We bought pints of all ingredients and got the stuff to make long island ice teas (for hubby) and a pina colata mixer for me. we got a pizza and a soda etc. we have about 40 dollars left. Oh we also bought a movie we wanted. We treated ourselves My daughter spent the night with my mom and we had a good adult fun night. I hardly ever drink, maybe five times a year if that much...Hubby is more of a social drinker, with friends. He may drink once a month or so...not much tho. We can not afford to drink a lot, plus I just don't enjoy it. Anyway, last night we had fun.

It's like this, we work hard and we are responsible and we do the right thing...we just want to treat ourselves and play a little. It makes us feel like we got something out of life. Just paying bills and having little to nothing extra SUXXXXX....

Making ends meet can be so stressful! I'm glad that you had a fun night and hope that you'll have plenty more.

OMG do I know what you are going though. I'm a divorced mother of two little boys. I'm on welfare do to the fact my ex isn't pay child support. I'm working at a waitressing job because the hours works out best for me and my kids. I am as well excited to get this check today. Even if I don't get it today but tomorrow or Monday I will be ok. I know whats its like to be able to pay bills and have a little extra money. Its such a great feeling. I always somehow get a large check when I'm hurting the most for cash. Hopefully we will get this check today!

As you know from my many pms...been there done that...hell, in a way STILL there...

Many of us know where you are at financially...I mean, look around, now more than ever!

I hope things change...this is starting to feel like a mini teensy tiny Armageddon! Scary!

Hope the next man in the White House will help us.

We need it!

In the meantime...enjoy your $$$ Spend it smartly! But use a little bit for something fun! That's important!
