The new Buffy

 life is tough all over,,,
Back to Full Blog

I may be vague in this entry, due to privacy...

I know people who are financially where I want to be...and today they are struggling becouse of prices going up. It hurts everyone, only some people show it more. Some peole just have less savings or take less of a vacation or such... Then there is us who hope our dollars worth of gas gets us to work and back home (a little exagerated, but not by much). I hope I have food for my 10 yr old child. My husband and I both work, I get about 30 hours a week..he.. lets just say, to be simplistic, he makes about 2-275 a week. (maybe). He gets paid daily and the job has slacked off some. 2 reasone...very few people have money to get their 'puter fixed becouse of gas and food prices....and people are busy doing other things with their summer. (vacations). I thought this couple had everything ...ummmm hummmm all good?? I thought they were doing well, and compared to me they are but the hard times hit them too. I just don't know what to think...especially when people who own their own home and say, I'm broke....I suppose they are not actually broke. I have 6 dollars to my name...thats all. Well,,,I don't know what else to say......

I know what you mean Buffy. I know this girl who is always bitchen she has no money and she is poor. Her boyfriend and her had a house built for them five years ago because she did not want to buy a house that someone else had lived in. She smokes, has a cell phone, has to buy name brand food and clothes. I told her that she is the only poor person I know that has a cell phone. It is her own fault that she is in the postion she is in. Buy a smaller home that is a few years old, shop in the discount stores and put in the hours at work to get the money. She has no kids living at home anymore but she was paying their cell phome bills etc when they were living at home.

You are right Buffy, everyone is struggling in this economy. I have a very good job yet I still live check to check. Some weeks I have to decide food or gas. I don't have the extras that alot of people do, like cable tv, cell phone or high speed internet, and I make a darn decent wage. By the time my house payments come out of my check it doesn't leave alot. I struggled 18 years to be able to buy my home and I finally made it. I don't want to lose everything I have worked so hard for so I try to make it the best I can just like everybody else.

Hang in there and do the best you can. Sending positive thoughts,

Bear Hugs!
