I try to do one good deed a week without asking for anything in return. It's never much, but it makes me feel good to help someone. Today I helped a complete stranger. She was buying a pack of cigarettes and did not have enough money. After I paid for my gas, I gave her all the change I had (about 75 cents or so) She got the brand she wanted and went on...It made me feel good to help and not be the one being helped for once.
I got to go to Wal-Mart this morning and get some house stuff. I even bought me a $5 shirt. Hubby brought home some money yesterday and today will not be bad...Of course any money vs. zero is a great day.

I do try to be positive every day...I say (very often) well we made it through today...Today is a good day..Hubby will bring home about 150-200 dollars today. I try to think nice plesant thoughts and be happy for what I have. Most of my frustration latley has come from wanting (or needing) my income tax. I get paid Wednesday, so we will be ok for a few days or so. I am trying to just take it a day at a time and just be thankful for what I have. Anyway I got a pm and she cheered me up and this person made me happy....Thank You...you know who you are.
life goes on......I'll be ok

The first thing I am doing with my income tax is getting my cats spayed. I just had another baby die. I can't handle it. Full vet check for ALL cats. We have four.
My mom and I talked last night, about my rent. It was a touchy subject. She thinks I will not save any of my income tax. We are saving at least $500.

I may be vague in this entry, due to privacy...
I know people who are financially where I want to be...and today they are struggling becouse of prices going up. It hurts everyone, only some people show it more. Some peole just have less savings or take less of a vacation or such... Then there is us who hope our dollars worth of gas gets us to work and back home (a little exagerated, but not by much). I hope I have food for my 10 yr old child. My husband and I both work, I get about 30 hours a week..he.. lets just say, to be simplistic, he makes about 2-275 a week. (maybe). He gets paid daily and the job has slacked off some. 2 reasone...very few people have money to get their 'puter fixed becouse of gas and food prices....and people are busy doing other things with their summer. (vacations). I thought this couple had everything ...ummmm hummmm all good?? I thought they were doing well, and compared to me they are but the hard times hit them too. I just don't know what to think...especially when people who own their own home and say, I'm broke....I suppose they are not actually broke. I have 6 dollars to my name...thats all. Well,,,I don't know what else to say......

I just found out a few minutes ago that China had a big earthquake. I feel bad for anyone who is homeless due to mother nature. Then I saw an add to send money to China to help those homeless...Thats all fine and dandy that some people want to help, but why China and not those closer to home. I just don't understand what the obsession is to help those in Africa, China, or other far off places and there are homeless and hungry people in my home state.
I can remember in the 1980's the USA for Africa movement. Lets feed the poor in Africa...WE are the world....We are the ones who make a brighter day so lets start giving..... Why fix countries half way around the world.. Fix America.
I can not get health insurance becouse me and my husband make too much money...Food Stamp people laugh at us too. If we are doing so well someone forgot to tell me...I live penny to penny most days. Yeah there are people who do not work or females who are constantly pregnant and other such things, but me and my husband both work and we are still poor. The gas prices are so outrageous. Food is getting expensive too...
I think every person should have some sort of healthcare...and if needed some sort of food stamps. I feel that these people who set the income requirements don't take into consideration higher gas and food prices. $100 of food stamps does not go that far these days. Thats two weeks worth of food here if I am lucky. (there are just three of us but my husband has a HIGH metabolisim (SP) ).
well, thank you for reading
